My garden wa suffering under the relentless chewing of grasshoppers and I was really sad to see plants I’d started from seed be damaged that way. I decided to try to look for the bright side, which is that my sunflowers were still so lovely, even with the chewed leaves. So this painting is all about how we as people can still glow and be beautiful even when we have been a bit beat up by life. We keep on shining.
