After working in painting in college, I became intrigued with the intimacy of fiber—the textural and tactile richness.
In 2002, a trip to Taos, New Mexico inspired me to renew my passion for fiber arts. I saw an array of color and patterns in knitted pieces that captivated me. The creative energy was everywhere.
I came back to Spokane, WA and started knitting, trying to keep that feeling of discovery and exploration in my work.
I hand knit one-of-a-kind scarves, neck wraps, hats and jewelry using a wide variety of high quality yarns, ribbons, beads and buttons. Color and texture inspire me to create each piece as an original work of art. The color and texture combinations are endless, but the work to create each piece is time intensive.
Women who wear my scarves are confident in wearing something unique, knowing that no one else will own a piece like theirs.
I am currently exploring felting to make decorative pieces to embellish my jewelry pieces and would eventually love to visit some Scandinavian countries where many felting/textile artists live and work.
Accessories are a great way to embellish a wardrobe and add fun to your life. My motto: “When in doubt--Accessorize!”
