Kendyl Chasco
Kendyl Chasco creates functional ceramic vessels inspired by and intended for the beauty of the natural world in which she resides. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest on a tiny island, she spent her childhood roaming the beaches and forested parks that surrounded her home. A deep love and respect for nature was seeded within her and has grown as she has. With undying support from her parents, she was encouraged to explore art from a young age and attended the Tacoma School of the Arts as a high school student where she studied dark room film photography. Studying the slow and intentional process of film photography helped to hone the way in which she saw the world while giving her a deep appreciation for the slower craft aspects of art mediums. In spring of 2022 she graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in studio art- ceramics.
Through her ceramic pieces, Kendyl strives to present aesthetically unique objects that encourage viewers to treasure natural beauty and inspire moments of contemplation in their daily routines.
