Virginia Carter, a ceramic artist from Chattaroy, Wash has been making pottery for over twenty years. Her work has grown through years and some of her sculptural pieces are now more than four feet tall. The creative drive was tempered by her surroundings in the foothills of Mount Spokane. Living on a small farm with dogs, cats, ducks, horses, and flowers and trees she paints a view of the human expressive side of animals. The result is a mix of whimsical functional forms and sculptural creations. Her goal is to entertain and give the viewer a little joy to carry them through life.
